The AMP Organization was created to promote LGBTQQIA creativity, culture and community
with an emphasis on queer visibility. Based in Long Beach CA, we offer a ton of fun things
happening that we hope will create a larger queer presence in effort to reflect the eclectic
people that aren't always best described as gay and/or lesbian. Through art, music,
performance, dance, film and many other artistic mediums, the AMP hopes to inspire and
empower a new generation of open minded, creative and active community leaders.

Queer Youth Scholarship 2011: Now Accepting Applications!
The AMP's Queer Youth Scholarship 2011 application is posted! Up to $100-$700 in cash
awards to LGBTQQIA youth who are passionate about art/music and the queer community.

The AMP Organization's Queer Youth Scholarship award is founded on the idea of increasing
queer visibility, inspiring the youth within the LGBTQIA community and encouraging young
people to stand up and be heard through artistic expression. In order to qualify for the
award, each applicant must submit a personal essay along with an example of their own
artistic expression. All applications will be reviewed by a committee of queer community
leaders. Winners will be chosen based on a combination of LGBT community involvement,
volunteer experience, essay quality and artistic merit.
