AMPLIFY is an open mic series that gives local area queer musicians, writers, comedians and
poets a safe stage of love and support. Artists can share, network, critique and try out new
material at this non-elitist, no stress performance environment. Don't want to get up on stage?
Come out anyways, both the food and drinks at Diiazza's are great and the entertainment will
certainly be interesting! You'll be sure to meet some new people and get the chance to
witness all of the talented people around you.
We encourage all levels of performers, whether novice or expert, to hone their performance
skills and talents in front of an audience.
AMPLIFY is hosted on stage at DiPiazza's, who's owners have shown enormous support to the AMP Organization's events and causes. www.diPiazzas.com

Wanna get on stage?
1. Performances begin at 8:00pm sharp and last until about 10:30pm
2. Sign-up sheet will be available a half hour prior and is strictly first come – first served.
Come on time to assure a time-slot.
3. You get to play 2, maybe 3 songs depending on the size of the list. Less then 10
we usually go with 3 songs. 10 or more we go with 2 and if time permits allow
performers another song.
4. We provide: 4+ microphones, instrument cables, ipod connections, mic stands, and
the house sound system. An engineer will be working the sound booth to ensure
everyone sounds as great as possible. Other than that… bring what you need. Please!
No drum kits. Hand drums are acceptable.
5. When you are next – please be ready. Your instruments should already be out of
their cases and tuned-up. Be ready to take the stage when you are called.
6. Tune-up BEFORE you go on stage. If you have difficulty tuning, don’t be
embarrassed to ask someone for help. We’re all friends here and we want you to
sound good. Don’t lose performance time playing the tune up song.
7. Perform material that you are comfortable with. We don’t expect perfection but its
always best to be as prepared as you can be. Choose songs you are comfortable with.
8. Please be quiet and show respect for the performers on stage. APPLAUD FOR
EVERYONE. It provides encouragement and you’ll see how good it makes you feel
when you perform.
9. Please stay for the performers after your set. We all like to have an audience and it’s
all about supporting one another.
10. HAVE FUN, because after all, that's what its all about.
